## How to read these records

### Which companies

Companies named in a “Public Announcement of Liquidation Process” or a “Public Announcement of Voluntary Liquidation
Process” on the IBBI website. Schools, hospitals, health and care providers, and companies named after a person are
left out.

### Two kinds of liquidation

**Liquidation**: ordered by the tribunal, usually after a corporate insolvency resolution process
that found no buyer. **Voluntary liquidation**: a solvent company decides to close.

### What is not here

Names of applicants, liquidators, directors or any individual. Addresses. The amounts claimed.

**Liquidator of a company listed here?**

The internal data of a company that employed 50 people or more (Slack or Microsoft Teams archive, documentation, project histories) may still have value after it has stopped operating.
